Here are some small leatherworking projects I’ve been messing around with! Small moleskin case and coin purse.
One of my sketches from tonight’s life drawing at Bunnycutlet. Great model!
Had an awesome dinner at Sik Gaek with equally awesome friends. The wall is covered in dollar bills and pictures of people in an afro wig, so I think George Washington here will fit right in.
He moved before I could add his arms! Park Slope guy, reading the paper and enjoying this beautiful Saturday evening.
Model, stage two. Getting there!
The beginnings of an armature for a creature I’m making! Waiting for the plaster to dry.
Some little heads!
The models again!
I combined two unfinished models to take reference photos. Everything in this picture is made from coffee stirrers, basswood, paper, wool and spackle… sooo much spackle.
In the middle of constructing a section of mossy trail to use as a base for a model. :)
Lunchtime napkin doodle of an awesome display of muffins.
Stealth napkin doodle of a fellow Brooklynite working at a cafe.
Markers, yeah! Quick color study for a current project.
Here you go, Linda!
Here’s a shot of the interior.
I made myself a purse! Saddle-stitched leather with a wool felt lining and an interior pocket for cards.
Here’s an older watercolor sketch - ‘Party Animals’. :-)
World-building! Here are two members of the Aergard.
More flowers! Castilleja integra/Southwestern Paintbrush.
Happy Spring! Here’s a watercolor of Ipomopsis Aggregata, also known as a Skyrocket, from a sketchbook I kept while working in New Mexico a few years ago.
